Background & Community Service
Jeff Cotton isn’t a career politician; he’s a lifelong Dearborn Countian who understands this community because he has lived it. For more than 30 years, Jeff has worked in Dearborn County, not for the county, building firsthand knowledge of how our local economy, workforce, and families function day to day. He was born here, raised his family here, and chose Dearborn County as the place to put down roots, believing it offered everything a family needs to thrive.
Background
Community Involvement
Qualifications
Jeff and his late wife made a deliberate choice to stay, even when opportunities elsewhere beckoned. They believed in Dearborn County’s strong schools, small-town values, local businesses, and close-knit communities. Together, they raised two fine young men, and Jeff has spent years supporting programs that uplift young people and adults who share a commitment to service, growth, and community pride.
A devoted community servant, with a career in Management that spans over 30+ years. Jeff was a member of the Aurora Lions Club, where he served as president and never missed an activity or project during his tenure. His leadership is hands-on, reliable, and rooted in showing up—not making speeches.
"I am not a politician. I'm your neighbor, a community servant, and a Dearborn Countian—ready to serve."
— Jeff Cotton
